nissan owners manual chart id (for some lights)

for a light bulb id chart, check the nissan 2013 altima owners manual page 8-32. the chart however fails to id aprox 7 lights.

(now if there was only a fuse id / service chart — but there ain’t — not even in the service repair manual.)

pages 8-28 thru 8-35 gives some bulb replacement instructions.

for headlights and some other lights, nissan “helpfully” states “if bulb replacement is required, see your nissan dealer.”

remember the days (cheap) glass sealed beam headlights lasted and lasted – and a car owner “gasp” did not need a dealer to install — and there was no plastic headlight cover to fog/turn yellow/scratch?

i see you mentioned the light bulb below the radio/ usb compartment. is there any way someone could give detailed instructions on how to get to it? i’ve tried to get to it but can’t seem to figure it out.

why would you need a fuse reference chart? the fuses needed are listed on the panels on them and where they should go in the fuse box.

added note: question asked. why would you need a fuse reference chart? fuses are listed on the panels.

a fuse reference chart is very helpful to have when trouble shooting electrical problems as it would show location and where fuse panels are (and how many). a location chart in hand greatly simplifies searches. besides the usual obvious panels some autos have smaller fuse boxes hidden behind side panels and even in the trunk. how many does the altima have, and where? (try reading the altima under hood fuse panel cover with the “raised” info molded black on black.) i like my altima but nissian could learn a lot from other car manufacturers when writing their owners and service manual. note that this “thread” request info on the bulbs — when you can pull the required bulb and id it directly. (but a bulb id chart is much more handy and if the owners manual was complete, most of the questions here would not have to be asked.)

…all these links except the trunk light are ddm as they have a shop a few miles from my house and they let me borrow bulbs to test fitment before i buy. i’ve had no issues with their products, have a good warranty, and pricing is very competitive. i found out about them on this forum, never knew they existed even thought they are just a few miles away.
