i am doing the mod for moving my drl’s to the high-beams. i need to find the positive wire to the headlights and i can’t find my multimeter. is it like house wiring where the black wire is hot (negative) and the white wire is neutral (positive).

thanks so much. that’s why i love this forum, lots of helpful people. i will post pictures of this mod after i’m done. its fairly straight forward. i’m also putting in some hid projectors for the low beam. i can’t stand the fact that these are the poorest headlights in all my cars. whether you aim them higher or use the best bulbs, you can’t see past 40 ft.

i’m doing this mod because i’m retrofitting some hid projectors for my low beams. i don’t want them on all the time and i don’t want the voltage fluctuations to destroy or diminish my ballasts.

i have installed halos on my 06′ tacoma and found this information useful. on the passenger side the wires match the description given but the wires on the driver side do not. i cannot get the halos to come on on the drivers side, i was assuming the wiring should be the same order but maybe it is not. i am having trouble locating the hot and ground wire on the drivers side. can anyone help with this.
