What is the little blue light next to the sunroof switch for?

I checked in the manual and cannot find any info on it.

I thought it might mean that Bluetooth is on but I have the basic 180 watt stereo that I think does not feature Bluetooth. I was just driven now at night and went to open the sunroof and see that tiny little blue light on what in the world is it for and why is it on. Please answer

no, its an indicator that your low beam headlights are on. If you have your lights set to auto you will notice it’s off. When it gets dark enough for the low beams to come on, that light comes on.

Yup that’s what it is. It turns on as soon as I turn on the parking lights. It stays on when I turn on the low beams .

Well, it’s not really an indicator light, it’s just another interior light that’s rigged to turn on when your lights are on (like your radio controls). It’s just ambient lighting.

It is listed in the manual as a courtesy light!

well its barely bright enough to be anything more than an indicator.

i actually know this one – i figured it out one night while driving my sister’s ’06 accord sedan w/sunroof (it was a red light in the 06s) – it’s actually a cup-holder illuminator – don’t laugh – it really is…try it…

when i was in sis’ car reaching for my timmy’s cup – it was glowing red – i couldn’t for the life of me figure out where the light was coming from – it took like 20 mins to find the ceiling mounted unit…

so…now you know…

That little blue light IS a courtesy light. its mainly for driving long distances at night. It seems pretty useless, until u get out to the highway where its dark and no streetlights. then you will appreciate it. Because with no surrouding streetlights, its bright enough that you dont have to turn on the dome light to look for things.

It’s just to help you find the moon roof switch in the dark.
