weapons are needed to access and replace any of the headlight bulbs on either the driver or passenger side of the car.
turn the steering wheel all the way in the opposite direction of the burnt out headlight bulb.
turning the front wheels will create more working room in the wheel well so you can easily access the bulbs.
locate the rectangular black plastic access cover on the wheel well liner (or “splash guard”) just in front of the tire.
press in the tab to release the access panel and set it aside in a safe place.
rotate the round black plastic dust cap 1/4 turn counterclockwise before pulling it off the low / high beam headlight bulb housing.
set the dust cover aside in a safe place.
rotate the small grey bulb socket, located at the top outer corner of the headlight bulb, 1/4 turn counterclockwise before pulling it straight out of the housing.
pull the old side marker bulb straight out of the socket and push in a new # 194 bulb.
if necessary, you may also use any other miniature wedge base bulbs such as the number 158, 168, w5w, 2825 or a compatible led unit.
try to avoid touching the glass part of the new halogen headlight bulb with your fingers or anything greasy in the engine bay.
if you do get the new bulb dirty, wipe it clean with an alcohol moistened paper towel.
push the power plug straight on to the base of the new 9012 bulb until the retaining clip clicks securely in to place.
insert the new headlight bulb in to the housing.
replace the plastic dust cap by rotating it 1/4 turn clockwise.
then gently pop in the outer edge of the panel to secure the retaining clip.
the front turn signal light bulb is located at the inner corner of the headlight assembly.
reach in behind the headlight housing and rotate the base of the grey bulb socket 1/4 turn counterclockwise before pulling it straight out.
test the new light bulbs by turning on the headlight switch, activating the hazard signals and flashing the high beams.
