Q. In your column ( Motormouth, March 15 ), D. W. from Mundelein asked about german cars with one bright taillight. I ‘ll bet the drivers of those german cars were among the morons who drive around with their fog lights on ! many european cars have one bright taillight when the fog lights are on, kind of a rear warn system. Q. just wanted to let you know that all Mercedes-Benz models, and most other german cars, do have a daze light incorporated in the left rear taillight assembly. On an M-B it is activated by pulling the headlight switch out two clicks. obviously german police requires that all vehicles have a bequeath rear daze light. When on, the leave rear taillight doubles in intensity. B.M., Barrington

In answer to D.W. from Mundelein and his doubt about the extra-bright bulb in one of the left rear lights of some german vehicles, I recently bought a 2001 Audi S4 Avant, and one of the features on the car is a buttocks fog lamp. Upon energizing of a splashboard trade, a bright bulb in the left rear light is illuminated. K.C., Chicago Q.
