i cut the hood of a hooded puffer jacket and wear that under the helmet. this, and a balaclava. if that’s not enough, the bottom half of an everest weight sleeping bag on your head.

you can order helmet pads, however if it’s only a little bit grow your hair out! haha

i swapped out all the modular liners in my gt-air for thinner ones which made it exactly fit my head size but it sat too low and cause really bad pain around the crown of my head. i took sheets of foam (not the air bubble stuff) out of an amazon package i got that i cut and folded until it raised the helmet just the right amount. made a world of difference.

changing out the oem padding is ok since they generally make it in different thicknesses to adjust fit. however, if you guys are chopping up foam and other shit then your helmet is just a completely wrong fit in the first place.

higher end race type helmets and some others as well have modular padding sections that can be replaced with different thickness versions made by the manufacturer – not just chopping up some foam and sticking it is willy nilly.

most fullfave helmets will have replacement cheekpads of different thickness that you can swap in
