how do you all do it? i am new to riding and got my first bike in september and got a full face helmet wearing my glasses isn’t super comfortable and also, i keep having trouble with fog while breathing. i have used anti fog spray (two kinds). is there a good brand that’s comfortable and breaths better? any tips are appreciated.

get a better helmet with decent ventilation and that fits when you are wearing your glasses. some models of helmets are really bad, others might not have the right shape for your head. only solution is to try a lot on, open the vents and shut the visor and breathe out to see if the visor and/or your glasses fog up.
some helmet brands fit glasses better than others. try on more helmets.
pinlock visors will at least keep the visor from fogging up, leaving you free to worry about just your glasses fogging up.
haha just kidding nothing actually works. time to start thinking about contacts or lasik.

contacts were bad when i got allergies. next try it lasik. rather be blind than try contacts again.

just need good venting.
unfortunately that can vary for the individual, it seems like some people just breathe out more moisture than others.
if you do have trouble, pop the shield open just a bit and that should clear up any fogging.
some people are mouth breathers

my girlfriend got lasik just recently. the things we do to ride!
hjc rpha helmets work great for this. ive had my pinlock visor fog but not my glasses, they come with alot of silly vents near the chinbar which seems to work well with regards to airflow over front of face.
the foam inserts of the helmets also has channels/grooves cut out for easy glasses insertion, just remember to remove glasses before attempting to put on helmet. during transition phase i looked really silly with the helmet half over my head and trying to keep the glasses from falling off.

for your glasses you can use dish soap. put one drop of soap on each glass, smear it out, and let it dry for 5 min. then buff it out with a soft tissue or cloth. this will keep your glasses for fogging up for a few hours. i use this on rainy days.
my husband wears sunglasses under his helmet, a shoei rf-1200. i have two shields and carry the clear one with me. he has no issues.

yup, in europe the helmet is called shoei nxr.
i also wear my glasses with it and i have found no issues.

glasses: helmet manufacturers design earpiece channels, and the designs vary. some will work better than others, so try various models from a range of manufacturers.
fogging: there are a variety of solutions from helmet manufacturers. coatings. pinlock systems. visor venting systems. iirc, pinlock solutions won’t be found on snell-certified helmets. (my helmet uses a combination of an antifog coating and a vent-all-around visor position setting.) none of these address the issue of fogging glasses, where a self-applied anti-fog coating can be added.

if you can, get rid of the breath guard and get a pin lock visor. the breath guard is meant to keep the visor from fogging, but it fogs the glasses pretty well. if you are able to take it out but don’t have a pin lock visor, then the visor will fog. so the combo
writings the best. i have a shoei rf1200 and have the breath guard removed and pin locks on both my visors. depending on the helmet, you may or may not be able to have both. do some research and see what pops up.

good airflow in the helmet and earpiece channels that fit your glasses and head. riding specific glasses also work great.
i got these glasses from walmart vision center for $125. i wear them under a scorpion evo-r410 and have no issues with fog. occasionally i will get some fogging while at stops, but the glasses are polycarbonate and do a decent job keeping crap out of your eyes so you can safely ride with your shield up for a bit to clear them up. the r410 helmet also has a “city position” that cracks the visor a tiny bit for extra airflow.

this helmet is the shit! got mine for $90 on revzilla under the dr sin paint scheme. $90 for all the features is a steal and it’s snell rated.

was gonna mention the cracked visor lock on the scorpions. i love mine, use it all the time and i don’t even wear glasses.
do your glasses have anti glare coating? something about the antiglare not being able mix well with antifog, so it wont he able to work with it.

i have a nolan helmet, it has cutouts for the ear pieces and comes with a pin lock face shield its the n42 i think,. you will still get some fogging on your glasses and visor in very damp/foggy conditions, learn to keep anti-fog solution in your riding kit, as well as lint free microfiber towels to dry your visor and eyeglasses off with. pay attention to how badly your vision is impaired, it sneaks up on you, especially riding early in the morning when the light is dim. pull over and dry everything off.
